Description
Game flavor: "Its time as a doorstop has left it permanently deformed. It now serves as a warning: serve your purpose, or you may find yourself *re*-purposed."
⚠️ **Heads up.** Removing the ball from the doorway causes the door to close and lock. Make sure you don't need to come back through that door before you pull it.
The trade is straightforward: the ball is wedging open a door in the Bootleg Bazaar that, by [The Phantom Line Engineer](/wiki/characters/the-phantom-line-engineer)'s read, should be closed. Pull the ball, the door locks, and the Engineer appreciates you for restoring the closure.
What the Engineer's appreciation actually unlocks isn't documented on the launch wiki. Read it as a Relation-cluster favor — the kind of small act that opens dialogue options later, possibly tied to his vantage point on the Old Docks pylon (he's watching the Bazaar from above, see his page).
The flavor-text joke is doing real work: the ball was useful as a doorstop, then got squished into uselessness, and now serves as a moral. Quisach in one item.
